Three questions get you to the right bag faster than scrolling photos:

  • What grade is it, really?A full-grain handbag is the one to buy if you want it to age well and last; a genuine-leather bag is an honest, lower-cost everyday choice that won’t patina the same way. If the listing is silent on grade, treat it as genuine. The grade comparison spells out the difference.
  • Does it need to carry a laptop? A structured work satchel with a padded laptop bay is a different bag from a soft everyday shoulder purse. Decide whether this handbag doubles as a work bag before you buy for capacity.
