Black Friday & Cyber Monday Leather Goods Deals 2026

The evergreen hub for handbags, wallets, belts, briefcases and leather care over the November sales: what has historically discounted and what rarely does, whether to buy now or wait for each product class, our top picks with live prices — and the one place verified deals get posted when they go live.

By Stephen V.Last updated How we pick

How this is funded: we earn a commission if you buy through our links, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which product we recommend, and we’ll tell you when we’d skip one. Full disclosure.

This page exists so that a leather-goods buyer in November has something better than a wall of red percentage badges: a plain account of what has historically been discounted in this category and what rarely is, a buy-now-or-wait answer for each product class, and the site’s top picks with the same live, dated prices they carry every other day of the year. It is written in September on purpose. The structure works today, and when deals go live, they are posted in one place — the tracker below — with the date each was verified, rather than scattered through the text where they would go stale.

Two rules govern everything on it. Nothing here forecasts a discount: the historical statements cite what makers and retailers themselves published, each linked in the sources, and none of them is a prediction about any listing we track. And no price is typed into the text: every number renders from the daily price check, dated, and when Amazon reports a markdown it appears on the button as a struck-through list price. If you see a percentage on this page, it is either a maker’s own published figure, cited, or a live one from the retailer, dated.

What has historically discounted in leather goods — and what rarely does

There is no public dataset of Black Friday prices for the specific handbag, wallet and belt listings we track, and we are not going to invent one. What can be said honestly is what makers and retailers have published about their own sales, and the pattern in it is clear enough to plan around: the likelihood of a real November discount follows the kind of maker, not the kind of product.

Mass-market and fashion brands: the most likely to discount

The large November events are built around brand-name apparel and fashion. Amazon framed its 2025 Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events, which ran November 20 through December 1, around home, electronics, beauty and apparel, and its published preview listed percentage discounts on fashion from several clothing brands. Notably, that preview named no handbag, wallet or leather-goods deals at all. That is the honest shape of the big-retailer sale for this category: fashion-brand bags and accessories are the likeliest to carry a badge, and the maker-led full-grain goods this site favors are the least likely to be featured.

Mid-market makers: modest, store-wide, published in advance

The makers who sit between fashion brands and heritage houses have tended to run a single percentage across the whole range, announced ahead of time. Rustic Town, a full-grain bag and wallet maker of the kind this site covers, published its 2025 terms as 20% off its entire collection from November 24 through December 1 with a promo code. Harber London, a small-batch maker of wallets, sleeves and bags, describes Black Friday as its biggest sale of the year across the full range while leaving the figure to the checkout — and warns that small-batch stock is limited. Those two are cited because they are on the record; they are not evidence that any particular Amazon listing will follow.

Heritage and premium makers: often nothing at all

Some makers of the leather this site most admires decline the event outright. Le Tanneur, a French leather-goods house, states on its own site that it has chosen not to take part in Black Friday — not that year, nor in the years to come — on the argument that a piece designed to last a lifetime should not be sold as a markdown. Others discount through a different door: Portland Leather Goods, whose full-grain sling is a pick on this site, runs a standing “Almost Perfect” channel that sells cosmetically marked pieces below first-quality price all year, so its best value is not tied to a date. If the maker you want has a no-sale stance or a seconds program, waiting for November buys nothing.

What our own price data shows today

Of the 95 products across this site carrying a live price on September 20, 2026, 21 already show an Amazon strike-through list price outside any sale window. That is worth holding in mind in November: a struck-out number on a product page is a comparison point that exists on ordinary days, not a Black Friday event in itself.

How to read a Black Friday price

A sale badge compares two numbers, and only one of them is the price you pay. Amazon defines a List Price as the suggested retail price supplied by the manufacturer, supplier or seller, and shows it struck through next to the offer as a comparison rather than a price; it separately computes a Typical Priceas the median customers actually paid over the prior 90 days. The FTC’s guides on deceptive pricing say the same thing in plainer terms: a former price is a legitimate basis for a comparison only if it was the actual, bona fide price at which the item was offered on a regular basis for a reasonably substantial period, and an inflated figure set up to enable a large reduction is a false bargain.

The practical version for a leather buyer is simple. Note today’s dated price on the buy button of anything you are considering; every button on this site carries one. In November, compare the sale price to that, not to the struck-through number. A markdown against a price the item actually sold at is a deal. A markdown against a list price it never sold at is a badge.

Buy now or wait for November? By product class

Wallets and belts: buy now

Small goods use little hide, which is why stated full-grain wallets and belts exist under $50 on this site today. A percentage off a price that small saves little in dollars, and the November risk runs the other way: the color or the belt size you need sells through before a gift deadline. If a wallet or belt is the gift, the picks in gifts under $50 are the answer now, and a ratchet belt removes the sizing risk entirely.

Bags, totes and crossbodies: wait if you can, verify if you do

Bags are the class where mid-market makers have published store-wide sales in past years, and where a modest percentage adds up to real dollars. Waiting is reasonable when there is no deadline. The two conditions are that the maker actually discounts — check its own site for a published stance or a seconds program — and that the November comparison is to a price the bag genuinely sold at. Our current picks and their dated prices are in gifts under $150 and luxury leather gifts.

Briefcases and laptop bags: buy when the job starts

A briefcase is bought for a date — a new role, a first client — and a stated full-grain one is a ten-year purchase, so a few weeks of waiting changes the cost-per-year arithmetic in is full-grain worth it by almost nothing. Buy it when it is needed; if the need and the sale happen to line up, apply the same bona-fide-price check as for bags.

Leather care: buy when the leather needs it

Conditioners, cleaners and kits are low-dollar, consumable and used on a schedule the leather sets, not the calendar. Waiting for a sale on a bottle of conditioner while a bag dries out is the wrong trade. The dollar difference a sale could make on a bottle is small enough that the leather’s schedule, not the retailer’s, should decide. The picks are in best leather conditioners.

Premium and heritage pieces: buy when you want it

Where a maker publishes a no-sale stance, waiting buys nothing; where it runs a year-round seconds program, the value is available any month. For a stated full-grain piece from a maker in either camp, the right time is when the recipient needs it and the return window covers the occasion.

Our top picks with live prices

These are the site’s current top picks by product class, each ranked in its own category comparison and each carrying today’s dated price. Where Amazon reports a markdown, the struck-through list price appears under the button. If a verified Black Friday deal touches one of them, it will be posted in the tracker at the top of the page.

  • Black Friday 2026: Friday, November 27, 2026, the Friday after U.S. Thanksgiving.
  • Cyber Monday 2026: Monday, November 30, 2026.
  • Retailer events:in 2025, Amazon’s Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events ran November 20 through December 1. Amazon had not announced 2026 dates when this page was written; when it does, the tracker will say so.
  • Shipping for a gift: new full-grain can carry a faint natural smell for a few days, and a belt may need an exchange. Whatever the deal, leave the recipient a week.

How this page will be updated

When a leather-goods deal goes live in November, it is checked against the bona-fide-price test above and, if it passes, listed in the tracker with the date we checked it. The historical section stays as written unless a maker publishes new terms, in which case the new terms are cited the same way. Nothing on this page will ever present a discount, a percentage or a price as fact unless a maker published it or the daily price check returned it. The methodology that governs the rest of the site governs this page too.

How we know this. Veg Tan Club is written by an enthusiast, not a master leatherworker or a test lab. We compile each product’s published specs — grade, tannage, hardware — and reason from there. We say plainly when a listing doesn’t state a grade, and we haven’t physically handled every item we compare.

Frequently asked questions

When is Black Friday 2026?

Friday, November 27, 2026 — the Friday after U.S. Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday, November 30, 2026. Retailers now spread promotions across all of November and December, and in 2025 Amazon's own Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday events ran November 20 through December 1; its 2026 dates had not been announced when this page was written.

Do leather goods go on sale for Black Friday?

Some do, and the pattern follows the maker. Mid-market makers have published store-wide percentage sales in past years, small-batch makers describe Black Friday as their biggest sale but with limited stock, and at least one heritage house states outright that it does not take part. We list what makers themselves published rather than predicting what any listing we track will do.

Should I wait for Black Friday to buy a leather wallet or belt?

Usually not. Stated full-grain wallets and belts already exist under $50, so a percentage off saves little in dollars, and waiting risks a color or size selling out before a gift deadline. Bags and briefcases are the class where waiting is more reasonable, provided the 'was' price is a real one.

How do I tell a real Black Friday discount from a fake one?

Compare the sale price to what the item actually sold for before, not to the struck-through number alone. Amazon defines a List Price as the supplier's suggested retail price and a Typical Price as a median of what customers paid over the prior 90 days; the FTC's guides say a former price is only a legitimate comparison if it was the bona fide price offered on a regular basis. Our buttons show today's dated price, which is a reference point you can hold a November price against.

Will this page list specific deals?

Yes, when they exist. Verified leather-goods deals are posted in the tracker box at the top with the date we checked each, and the page's 'last updated' stamp moves. Until then the page carries no deals, because there are none to verify.

Where do the prices on this page come from?

From a daily retailer check, shown on each buy button with the date it was pulled and, when Amazon reports one, the struck-through list price alongside it. No price or discount is typed into the text; if the check stops, the numbers disappear rather than go stale.
